Shipping and fulfillment policy

CertaSafe is a testing laboratory, so shipping runs the opposite way to a shop. Nothing is shipped to you. You ship a sample to CertaSafe, and CertaSafe delivers a COA to you electronically.

CertaSafe does not sell, supply, or distribute peptides or any other substance. There is no product to dispatch and no physical delivery to track.

Where. CertaSafe Labs, 780 Chadbourne Rd, Suite A, Fairfield, CA 94534. Receiving is open 8 to 5, daily. Couriers can leave packages at the front desk. Always send to the address printed on your order, which is authoritative if it ever differs from this page.

Who pays. You do. CertaSafe does not issue prepaid carrier labels and does not charge you for inbound shipping. Choose your own carrier and service, pay the carrier directly, and keep the tracking number.

Carrier, service, and condition. Each vial labeled clearly, packed with a chain of custody form, on ice, overnight preferred. A slower service increases the time your sample spends unrefrigerated and can affect whether it is suitable to test on arrival.

Labeling. Label every vial clearly and legibly, and make the labels match the sample names on your order exactly. If a label and an order do not match, intake cannot tell which vial is which, and the sample is held or rejected rather than guessed at.

Paperwork. Include the completed Chain of Custody / Service Request form in the package; it is a download on the submission guide. Do not put it inside a sealed inner bag with the sample. The laboratory titles it a chain of custody form; for routine research-use work it is the traceability record that matches your vials to your order. Formal chain of custody programs, for pharmaceutical, regulated, legal, or contracted work, are arranged in advance and are not the default.

Packaging. Pack so that vials cannot move, break, or leak in transit, with absorbent material inside a sealed inner container, inside an insulated outer shipper with the coolant.

Each test has a minimum sample requirement. The full requirements are set out in the submission guide, and the summary is:

Sending less than the requirement means the test cannot be run. Sending more is never a problem.

Receipt. The package is logged as received.

Intake. The sample is checked against your order: quantity, labeling, condition, and suitability for the tests ordered.

Acceptance or rejection. If the sample is suitable it is accepted and released to the laboratory queue. If it is not, CertaSafe contacts you and you choose to resubmit or to cancel for a refund of the affected tests. See the refund and cancellation policy.

Any damaged product arriving is unusable and is rejected. The examples the laboratory gives: a damaged vial, a missing label, a warm arrival, and an insufficient amount. When a sample is rejected, the customer is contacted and a resampling is requested.

Turnaround is measured from sample receipt, not from payment. It is not measured from carrier collection or from carrier delivery.

Typical turnaround is published per test on the service page for that test, in days, as the laboratory states them. It is an estimate, never a promise, and a sample held for a question at intake has not started.

Same day rush is available on everything except sterility. No rush price is published, and rush is not offered as an option at checkout. Ask before ordering if you need it.

COAs are delivered in your portal account. There is no printed COA and nothing is posted to you.

A released COA appears in your portal account and stays there, so sign in to check on an order rather than waiting to be told. CertaSafe does not currently send order or COA notification email. Organization accounts deliver to the COA recipients configured on the order.

If a result meets one of CertaSafe's review conditions, CertaSafe contacts you to discuss it before the COA is released. This can add time between the laboratory finishing and the COA appearing.

CertaSafe cannot test a sample it does not receive, and is not responsible for carrier delays, losses, or damage.

If your tracking shows delivery and your order has not moved to received within one business day, contact support@certasafelabs.com with the tracking number.

If a sample arrives damaged, leaking, or warm, it is handled as an intake rejection: CertaSafe contacts you, and you resubmit or cancel the affected tests for a refund.

Samples are retained for 45 days after testing and are then disposed of. Samples are not returned. If you need material back, do not send it.

The laboratory is in California, United States, and receives samples at the address above.

Customs documentation, duties, and import compliance for an international shipment are the sender's responsibility. Confirm with CertaSafe before sending one, because a shipment held at a border spends that time unrefrigerated.

You are responsible for the legality of the material you send and of sending it, for describing it accurately, for packaging it safely, and for complying with the carrier's rules on what may be shipped and how.
